This is my latest documentary, broadcast on Al Jazeera English, as part of the ‘Witness’ strand. The film received its first broadcast on 9th April 2014 and was watched by an estimated 80 million people on occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide, the last great tragedy of the 20th century. Following a year of research and a year shooting the film, the first version of the film (47 minutes) is now being extended to a theatrical version with a length above the 60 minute mark. This is exciting as it will be an opportunity to present the character of Pascal Simbikangwa, who was sentenced to a lengthy sentence at the Court D’Assises in Paris, in a more developed way and in his own words.
